"Ceasar’s CUP" : The " Ryder’s CUP" of poker

Ceasar’s CUP could be for poker the "Ryder’s CUP" in golf, that is a confrontation of the old continent and the New World. The first edition of this new kind of tournament will be held in Casino Empire of London on September the 26th within the framework of the World Series of Poker Europe. Ceasar’s CUP announces as a totally original event in the world of poker. Two teams of eight players will meet in Hold' em No Limit Heads-up. The American team will be leaded by the Canadian Daniel Negreanu, four times winner of bracelet. This player had recourse to the service of one of the players of poker, the most complete in the circuit, Phil Ivey to strengthen his team. We shall also note the presence of Phil Hellmuth and John Juanda in this American team.

The European team, for its side, will be leaded by the Norwegian player Annette Obrestad, the youngest holder of WSOPE bracelet. He will be supported by the youngest winner of the WSOP Peter Eastgate, but also the number one of French poker Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier. In front of its American homologue, the European team seems lighter if experience is concerned. Until now every team is not complete yet, but it is whispered at the side of the American team the participation of Doyle Brunson, Chris Ferguson, Justin Bonomo, David Pham, Sorel Mizzi, or Tom Dwan. For the European camp, it will be doubtless enriched by players as Patrick Antonius, David Benyamine, Bloke Hansen, John Tabatabai, Carlos Mortensen or Illari Sahamies. The eighth member of each team will be a player issued from online qualifications.
