6th World Cup of Poker: Tournament of qualification from August the 20th

In January, 2009, German players of poker "Team Germany" knew how to show of what they were able by defending the colour of their country during the World Championship of Poker. Team “New Zealand” and “Team Italy” respectively took the 2nd and the 3rd positions during the finale. The 6th edition of this big event is going to allow 54 countries of the whole world to be in confrontation again for a total $290, 000 prizepool and take a chance for another title. Qualifying tournaments will take place from next August the 20th. Note that the team New Zealand and that of Italy are still ready to take up the challenge.



The World Cup of Poker allows everybody without exception to play poker in his national team which will be formed by four players of poker. For the case of France, every player will have chance to qualify in order to join the French team on September the 3rd and the 4th, 2009. Players will have to compete for two tournaments qualifying freerolls before being able to compete for the regional qualifications. Big Final Live will take place in the Bahamas during which nine countries finalists will be in competition on January the 10th, 2010 in order to determine which country will be the new World Champion of the World Cup of Poker VI. The national team which win this title will receive at the same occasion the $100,000 first prize.
