EPT of Kiev: Beginning of the qualifications
After the confirmation of the cancellation of the stage in Moscow of the European Poker Tour’s sixth season (EPT), Russian government having indeed decided to remove from poker the sporting status, Kiev opens its arms to it. From next August the 18th to the 23th, during 6 days, the beautiful Ukrainian city is going to become the European capital of poker. The buy-in of this tournament in Kiev will be fixed to €5,000. During this European Poker Tour stage, there will be daily satellites which will allow players to win their journey with $9,700 packages. Internet users can also win places for this event thanks to a series of online satellites.
Kiev Sports Palace will welcome the event at the centre of Ukrainian capital, with a busy schedule which includes a special event for women for €330 or also great satellites for European Poker Tour of London. Players already qualified for Moscow will have the possibility to convert their packages into EPT Kiev. They can also choose another event or receive an equivalent sum in cash. Let us remind that the Ukrainian State welcomed well this event in spite of its organization rather sudden. The competition will be under the control of the ministry of the Youth, the Family and Sports as well as the Ukrainian Federation of Poker. Russian and Ukrainian celebrities as Ivan Demidov and Alex Kravchenko will be expected during this EPT of Kiev and several big professional players or not.
