APPT: A third Season expected

After an amazing season 2, Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) restarts for a tour. Macao will open once again the ball for this third edition during this series of tournaments of poker live which will take place in Asia and in Oceania from the end of August 2009. This year, organizers hope to strike harder than the edition of the last year which was an enormous success if the number of poker players participating in is concerned. Note that during the season 2, 1,772 of the best poker players native to this region were in competition for a global prizepool around 5,000,000 dollars. The Asia Pacific Poker Tour season 3 will have 5 cities-stages which are Macao, Auckland, Seoul, a city of Philippines and Sydney. This year, organizers are almost unanimous to exceed the fateful line of 5,000,000 of prize.

The APPT Macao 2009 event will take place at the Macau Poker Room, the room which receives a recurring tournament, the Macau Poker Cup, which saw participation of more than 900 poker players. The tour will come to overrun the ex-Portuguese colony from August the 25th to the 30th with participation of numerous Asian stars like Bryan Huang and Celina Lin who will be in competition with the numerous keen on poker in this continent. Like most of big tournaments of this year, the impacts of the world financial crisis on players’ behaviour will certainly be felt.
