Online poker: The number of American players still increases

How many times the United States tried to put an end to online poker on their territory? Despite this fight, gambling websites on the Internet still continue to supply American consumers even if severe penalties could be applied by the federal authorities. According to a recent study, 10 millions of Americans still play and bet on online casinos’ in the country against 2 millions for the United Kingdom and 1.3 millions for France. And it, in spite of the establishment on the American territory in 2006 of the law prohibiting online games or Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA).

Several operators working in this sector strengthen themselves with courage to fight the ban of online games in the United States and especially online poker, but in vain. For reminding, the United States have already proceeded to lock up money transfer to several players among whom more than $30 millions were dedicated. Then a few times after, the Governor of Florida, Charlie Grist, had invented as excuses the protection of the residents of his State against online poker. So, he signed a bill to restrict more and more the existence of this game on his territory. Cancellation of these laws or not, everything still seems better for online casinos which registered a not stop increasing of the number of their players on the American territory.
