France Poker Tour: Looking for the successor to Nicolas Ferrier
Apart from the WSOP, the WPT, the EPT…the France Poker Tour is one of the biggest events in the poker world. Its fifth edition will take place this year. Carrousel du Louvre will receive the first stage of this event on August the 29th to the 30th. 1,500 players will play poker in the same room during this Parisian stage. During this moment, 12 professional players of poker will be present. Among them, the 30 best players will be qualified for the final which will be held on January the 2nd to the10th, 2010, in Paris. « Be brave dear players, the resolution is near! » Antoine Dorin, president of the French Federation of Players of Poker (FFJP) said. A €500, 000 prizepool will be distributed during this €1,000 buy-in tournaments.
After the first stage in Paris, 12 other steps will take place around the Hexagon. Lille and Lyon will receive this great tournament from September the 26th till the 27th and 500 poker players are expected a each event. Enthusiasts of poker in Strasbourg and Bordeaux will be delighted to play poker during the qualifications from October the 10th and the 11th. The winner of the France Poker Tour finale will succeed to Nicolas Ferrier and will wear the title of “Champion of France 2009”. Qualifications for obtaining a ticket for these tournaments are already available online.
