Online players: more than three millions of French

With the approach of the liberalization of the market of online games in France, so that the agenda of the debate in the National Assembly on the «end of September, beginning of October” (Jean-François Lamour) can have a little more precision; studies concerning on-line games are led. And because the Française des Jeux and the PMU controls the monopoly in this sector for the moment, this rate of participation belongs to them even if the 10 % are already accustomed of the sites of on online poker, the casinos and not authorized sports bets, according to the same source.



Even if the liberalization of on-line games is planned by January 1st, 2010, the reporter of the bill of online bets Jean-François Lamour declares that it wouldn’t be effective before February or March and that «the objective is to be ready for the Football World Cup in June, 2010 ". It is a subject which should worry the operators willing to work in this sector, in France. But finally France agreed to take into account operators of casinos having already passed by controls and obtained a license in other countries, while maintaining the upper limit of the gains of the players between 80 % and 85 % of the stakes.
