After the comments and a few changes suggested by the European Commission, the Government Fillon finally agreed to revise its government bill concerning on online games and sports betting which will be submitted soon. In this, ends the monopoly of the French games in the area even if that company will not let it do so easily by its FRançaise de Jeuxin this sector even though this enterprise won’t let its competitors to operate easily. In order to liberalize the sector, then, allocation of licenses to online poker offering cash game, casino games and the betting on virtual events is already foreseen. The operators and all enthusiastic about online games can already be pleased because the application of this new legislation governing this sector is planned for the 1 January 2010.

However, even if foreign operators which already passed through control in their respective country won’t need to do it in France, it is always maintained by France that they must set up a fiscal correspondent on the spot. But this is more or less acceptable. But the points that the European club of the gambling alternative operators or EGBA concerning the limitation of the market of opening only to online activities, the maintenance of the opening of horse betting as mutual betting and the limitation of the gain rate that the consider as problematic remains a history to be followed.
