Main Event: Bruel and Ludovic Lacay among the qualified for the the Day 3

The development of the second day of the World Series of Poker’ Main Event 2009 offers again a marvellous show to the audience. By taking the current qualifications into account, French expectation for the title is still possible. Among the 1,476 players who have participated in the Day 2A of this poker tournament with $8 millions of trophy, there were 33 French players. Guillaume de la Gorce was the first player native to Hexagone leaving this step. Anthony Lellouche followed him a few times later by staking his entire stack against the betiing of his compatriot Patrick Bruel. Michel Abécassis, Arnaud Mattern… ended too their participation at the course of this day. But several great names of poker were been qualified for the Day 3 like Ludovic Lacay holding henceforth a stack of 170 00 chips, Patrick Bruel (80,000), Fabrice Soulier (108,000), Julien Brecard, Alexandre Roos, Christophe Schaming, Anthony Roux and Benjamin Pollak.



The battle between the different nationalities for the title of the world champion of poker 2009 is not easy too. Gus Hansen was among the first eliminated of this day. Similarly, Alex Kravchenko, Barry Greenstein, Jason Mercier, Shaun Deeb, Sandra Naujoks, Tony G, Grant Levy… have also completed their journey in WSOP 2009 during this second stage. Eric Cloutier AKA "lafayette" has been the player of this day because he is the chipleader of the Day 2A gathering 300.000 chips. With him, a total of 630 payers will e able to reach the next stage. But during the Day 2B, twice more than the current players’ number have to compete because they will be 2,922 enthusiastic about poker to start the game.
