Ante Up for Africa: Big stars gathered for its 3rd edition.
For the third consecutive times, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) didn’t fail to set up the tournament for charity Ante Up for Africa (AUFA). This event with humanitarian purpose starts on Thursday the 2nd of July at Rio casino for six days. This year, it’s a $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em tournament. Numerous stars of poker, cinema, and sports… answered to this call for funds collection of which a big part will be used for helping victims of the humanitarian crisis in Darfur, in Sudan. Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Brad Garrett, Mekhi Phifer and the legend of poker Phil Hellmuth are ones of the celebrities playing around the tables during these tournaments. For the public having free access to the rooms, the event will allow to admire these big stars playing for the good cause.
At the French side, it is the player Franck Leboeuf who is the one of the celebrities rejoining the poker tournament Ante Up for Africa. The former player of Chelsea and Olympique de Marseille participate with the sponsoring of an online poker website. The cinema player Don Cheadle, founder of the association and one of the numerous Hollywood representatives is of course, expected there. Basket enthusiasts were happy to see at this tournament for charity players like Charles Barkley, Jason Kidd or Shawn Marion. Simpson’s producer Hank Azaria, the TV emcee Montel Williams and many other celebrities answered to this call, too. Note that the civil war in Darfur is lasting now six years.
