ECPT Malta 2009 : More than three months to wait

European Poker Tour: The Sixth edition moves to Kiev
Organizers of the sixth edition of European Poker Tour (EPT) had changed their program this year. They did not delay announcing that the tournaments foreseen to be held in Moscow are cancelled further to the Russian ministerial decision which crossed off poker from sports list. The EPT Russia Open planned to be done in Radisson SAS in Russia is thus going to move in Kiev Sports Palace, in Ukraine from August the 18th till the 23th and will be called officially « EPT Kiev Sports Poker Championship ». Fortunately, Ukraine goes back on its decision forbidding poker on its territory further to the fire of a gaming room which killed 9 persons.

Poker : The second stage of the Italian Poker Tour on August the 27th

Saskatchewan: The Canadian province where gambling expenditure is the highest

France Poker Tour: Looking for the successor to Nicolas Ferrier
Apart from the WSOP, the WPT, the EPT…the France Poker Tour is one of the biggest events in the poker world. Its fifth edition will take place this year. Main Event : The French player Antoine Saout among the qualified for the finale.
After twelve days of competition during which more than 6.400 players of poker were in confrontation in Las Vegas, the names of 9 qualified last ones for the finale of the World Series of Poker’Main Event (WSOP) are now known. After a qualification of the French player Marc Brochard, 11 years ago (in 1998) at the final table of the WSOP, Antoine Saout, a 26-year-old young person native to Finistère follws him by as the defender of the national colours for the title of the world champion of poker. Main Event of WSOP: A wonderful path for the French players

Main Event : 3,686 participants during the first three days
The beginning of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) was again a great event that many players didn’t miss. Poker historical account: Summary in the film « All In: The Poker Movie »

Event#51 of WSOP : Carsten Joh wins the bracelet
The third day of the Event #51 of Las Vegas World Series of Poker (WSOP) was been a competition rich of palpitation. The battle between the 30 survivors among the 2.781 enrolled in this 1.500$ No-Limit Hold'em tournament was achieved on a victory of Carsten Joh after more than 13 hours of competition. During the Final heads-up, it was Andrew Chen that he defeated. This latest won the second position with a gain of $412,632 against an amount of $664,426 and a bracelet for Joh. This final phase of the 51st competition in this 40th edition of WSOP noticed the fast elimination of 14 players on only two hours of meeting. Lebiszczak (30th), Alex Jacob (21st), Viktoria Szilasi (13th) were the first to leave the table.

Belgian bill about online games : Interpellation of the European Commission
After the adoption by the Belgian Council of Ministers of the government bill about online games in this country in March, the European Commission has just asked this State about the law that it wants to apply. Last Monday, a letter from the European Commission was addressed to the Belgian government. Russia: Casino’s operating reserved for four regions only
Like in many countries, Russia has just modified its legislation about gambles and casinos. Team 770 : Two qualified after the Day 1 of the WSOP Event#54
After one month of competition at the 40th edition of Las Vegas’ WSOP, players of the Team 770 still continue their adventures in this famous great world appointment of poker. Among the 35 online qualified during satellites proposed on poker sites like Poker 770, some still participate at the meetings of these last days. Moreover, results recorded by these players were promising and some of them didn’t tell their latest words yet. Concerning the Event#54 of which the Day 1 took place on Tuesday of June 30th, among the 2,800 players enrolled at this No Limit Hold’em tournament for $1,500 at the end of the day, 390 were qualified for the next stage. During this day, two players of the Team 770 will participate at the second day of the competition.
