Online games: China establishes a text in order to protect its players

As one of the countries recording the strongest increase of the number of its online games’ players, China which collects also increasing complaints from thousands of gamers because of operators’ failure decided to establish a law used as text of regulations of the sector. With a community of more than 55.5 millions of MMO players, these online role games multiplayer, Chinese authorities established so law framing the sector according to the site China Tech News. The regulation is established “as long as in the Chinese players’ interest and the industry” according to the Shanghai Information Service Association (SISA), the entity which prepared the law. Henceforth, obligations to give previous notice have to be respected by online games operators in their relation with its members : notification has to be given to the player three days before a temporary suspension of a game and 30 days in the case of definitive cessation of the activity. All interruption of a player’s account has to be informed in advance with a clear explanation.



Moreover, given that frauds of online games enthusiasts are one of the reasons leading to the stopping of their adhesion contract, in order to avoid verdicts dispute in tribunals, Chinese authorities requested too the “traces of fraudulent deeds” during at least six months. Even if Chinese population had engendered the world greatest community of players, playing online casinos and staking on betting sports on Chinese market remains prohibited. However, this upswing of online distractions’ industry in the most populated country in the world wins fame also with by the fact that this country is on the way to become the 1st online games producer in the world.
