WSOP’ Event#25 : Phil Ivey wins his 7th bracelet

On the occasion of the $2,500 Omaha/Seven-Card Stud Hi/Lo tournament, Phil Ivey who already won a bracelet during this 2009 edition of the World Series of Poker, showed again his talent. He has just impressed players during the final table of the Event#25 of the WSOP and wins at the same time the 7th bracelet of his career. Nevertheless, being among players having the lowest stack during this latest competition of the Day 3, he didn’t give a presentiment that he would win but he managed an exceptional climb. Chad Brown, the short stack of this final was the first eliminated in this poker party after giving his entire stack against Ming Lee.

Then, a Omaha hi/lo tour between Phil Ivey and Steve Wong will allow the future champion to increase considerably his pot. Phil Ivey henceforth holds a stack of 240,000 chips. Then, Wong will eliminate Franck Debus and Blair Rodman, respectively take the 12th position with a gain of $13,274 and the 11th position. Ming Lee’s pair of Kings will eliminate Matt Kelly. A few hands later, the eight latest players of the final round are known. Dutch Boyd raises, followed by Gelencser, but this latest hadn’t resist. Ivey showed his talent and eliminates Carlos Mortensen and Jon Turner. With the chipleader Ming Lee, the remaining players will be eliminated one by one until the heads-up with Ivey. But thanks to his talent, this great poker player will be the winner against Ming Lee and obtain his 7th WSOP bracelet and the $220,538 prize.
