Poker tournaments for students: Crowd record in two tournaments
If some decrease of poker tournaments for students’ frequenting was observed during previous editions, organizers adopted new formulas this year. The two tournaments especially dedicated to students, the “Partouche Poker Tour Etudiants” and the third edition of Campus Poker Masters registered all a crowd record. For the Partouche Poker Tour, the modification of the satellite of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux structure and the tournaments gratuitousness allowed attracting more than 4.200 students from 150 schools and universities. For this tournament which was played on last May 17th at “Forges les Eaux” casino, it was after a rude competition which came to end at 2:00 a.m. that Arthur Weil, student at Engineer School HEI of Lille won the title of champion. For this victory, he won so the buy-in of €8,500 which will allow him to participate to the Partouche Poker Tour main Event which will be held on the 1st to the 6th of September, at Palm Beach in Cannes. The vice champion, Paul Halpert, from Pharma School of Nantes won a plasma screen. About the Campus Poker Masters which held its third edition this year, a tournament of which finale took place at the ball-room Pink Paradise of Paris, more than 2.000 participants from 200 schools met during qualifications phases in freeroll tournament. Among the 32 students who played the final, Sylvain Clément, a student in journalism, native of Grenoble was the champion and he won a prize of €10.000. Ludovic Jaroszweski, second position at this tournament got for his second place a nice prize of €6.000. Handsome sum which will allow these young students to realize plans for their future.
