Facing the emptiness of jurisdiction in South Africa, online game operators took an advantage of seducing customers in Mandela’s country to come to their site. So, during these last months, the number of South Africans who played on these online poker and sports’ betting websites registered dazzling increase. The reason is that since a few time, numerous online casinos accept South African rand for playing on their portal. But South African government decided to react in front of this gamers’ flight to online website, giving up, in the other hand, physical casinos. Thus, the National Gambling Board of South Africa has just announced that government bill about online casino will be prepared to allow the country to liberalize this sector and to legally deduct in advance duties from operators. Their competitors, physical casinos endure, indeed, the constraint they have to pay licences whereas players abandon. Like France case, the rapid development of online gamble portals leads to the decrease of 8.7% of the worldly casinos’ turnover during the year 2008. On the other hand, an increase of 25% of online operators’ turnover is recorded on the same market. But, coming back to the RSA case, according to the National Gambling Board explanations, ten licences for online casinos will be delivered there and they will be issued for South African enterprises only.
