Actress Drew Barrymore Surrenders to Poker Craze

Yet another name has recently been added to the ever-growing circle of poker celebrities. Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore is reportedly eager to garner as many poker tips as possible now that she has finished shooting a new movie, "Lucky You". Since the movie was set in Las Vegas at the 2003 World Series of Poker and focused on the encounter between a professional poker player and a singer (Barrymore), poker pros had been hired to teach the actors some of their know-how.

To stay true to her character, a vulnerable lounge singer ignorant of poker and other casino games, the 31-year-old actress was not privy to poker briefs. Nevertheless, as soon as the shooting was over, Barrymore reportedly decided to make up for lost poker time and seek the pros' advice. Although she admitted her poker passion, saying that she often played poker with friends at home, she reportedly noted that she had no intention of making a living out of the game.
