Endemol UK, the owner and creator of reality-TV series Big Brother, has its eyes set on the online gaming industry, including online poker. Attracted by the potential of an industry that generates billions of dollars each year, the British company reportedly decided to develop new gaming concepts through its recently-launched division, Endemol Gaming.

The division's new directors – Brian Macsweeney (Creative Department) and Sarah Bellamy (Managing Department) – were reported as saying that they planned to use Endemol's creative skills and production capabilities, as well as its experience as a mass-market entertainment developer, to introduce new ideas to the ever-growing online gaming market.

According to its officials, the new arm would develop live sports betting projects, online poker formats, instant win games, gaming TV, fixed odds games, multiplayer quiz formats, as well as other skill games. With Endemol's strong entry into the world of live gaming, competition in the online poker gaming sector is expected to reach new levels.
