The World Poker Tour (WPT) video game is getting ready to launch on the PlayStation Portable (PSP) game console. The WPT's PSP version follows the October, 2005, release of the WPT game for PlayStation 2, Microsoft's Xbox, and Nintendo Game Boy Advance. In honor of the latest launch, 2K Sports, the video game developers behind the game, added some special features available exclusively on the PSP version of the game.

Some of the new features include an upgraded artificial intelligence system and exclusive tournament and final table options. The World Poker Tour game benefits from the support of poker celebrities Antonio "the Magician" Esfandiari, Erick Lindgren, Evelyn Ng, Lyle Berman, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, and Phil "Unabomber" Laak, whose virtual equivalents are featured in the game. The World Poker Tour for the PSP hits the shelves on April 18.
