Poker heavyweights Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, and Scotty Nguyen have now officially joined the ranks of actors, singers, and Jedi Masters who have starred in Diet Pepsi commercials. Seeing as you just can't go more mainstream than diet cola, poker celebrities have officially transcended their industry-specific fame to become full-fledged celebrities. And it's not just Hellmuth, Negreanu, and Nguyen who are breaking the boundaries; Diet Pepsi is officially the first soft drink to play poker. At least that's the concept behind the commercial.

The ad pits the three pro poker players against a can of Diet Pepsi in a high-intensity poker game. This battery of poker's finest proves no match for the wee little inanimate object that soda is otherwise thought to be. The fearsome threesome buckles under the poker prowess displayed by the Diet Pepsi can. That reminds me; I'm thirsty.
