Foxwoods Poker Director is Westward Bound, Ends Tenure at World's Biggest Casino
Kathy Raymond, the longtime director of poker operations at the largest casino in the world, is moving from New England's Foxwoods to a similar gig at the Venetian in Las Vegas. Raymond's career at Foxwoods began in 1992, when she was first employed by the casino as a dealer. She impressively moved up the ranks at Foxwoods and was ultimately handed the responsibility of heading everything poker at the casino, which houses one of the biggest poker rooms in the entire country. Now, Raymond has been enlisted by the Venetian, part of the Sands family of casino properties, to oversee poker operations at the casino's soon-debuting poker room. In addition to the everyday management of the Venetian's poker activities, which is Raymond's main area of expertise, she will also be responsible for taking charge of the actual opening of the much-anticipated poker room, which has been billed as the biggest in Sin City.
