Indian Poker Site Brings Eastern Flavor to Online Poker
Indian poker room TeenPatti.com recently released its newly-revamped website in an effort to reach the largely-untapped Indian online poker market. Unique among other online poker sites, TeenPatti.com features the popular Indian variation of poker, Teen Patti, which has been played in India for hundreds of years. Interest in the Asian online poker market has been mounting as of late, but such interest has focused mainly on China and South-East Asia, leaving Indian poker players without options of their own. This marks the first Teen Patti offering on the Internet. Teen Patti is traditionally played with three cards. Indeed, the meaning of “Teen Patti" is “three card" in Hindi. Nonetheless, versions do exist using five or more cards. One of the most unique aspects of this Indian poker variation is that players can choose to view their own cards or play blind. The betting structure is then affected by this choice. A detailed explanation of the rules of Teen Patti is available at TeenPatti.com TeenPatti.com allows online poker players to create their own private tables and boasts weekly freerolls. The site is also planning to unite its best players to form “Team Patti," a group of poker players whom the site will promote, sending them to top poker tournaments around the globe.
