Poker All-Stars Face Off against Billionaire in Private High-Stakes Cash Games

High-stakes cash games seem to be the latest trend in poker, and Andy Beal, a billionaire renaissance business man, is certainly not going to be left out of this trend. Indeed, Beal has a regular game going with some of the top poker pros, including Johnny Chan, Doyle and Todd Brunson, Phil Ivey, Minh Ly, Chau Giang, Jennifer Harman, and Ted Forrest.

Fancying himself something of a poker virtuoso, Beal challenges these professional players, collectively referred to as “The Corporation," to beat him in heads-up play, the stakes of which are at the $50,000/$100,000 level. Although the game of the day is Limit Texas Hold 'em, with stakes so high, the limit seems to be in name only. Reportedly, the pots have a habit of surpassing $1 million. While the highest stakes poker games tend to be televised, this poker game, being a private one, remains within the four walls of the Wynn hotel and casino's highroller's area.
