Dry Spell Ends for Poker Pro Daniel Negreanu, Wins WSOP Circuit Event
Following a considerable period of lackluster performance on the poker tournament circuit, former Player of the Year Daniel Negreanu proved he's still 'got game' with this weekend's win at the WSOP circuit event in Tunica, Mississippi. For his skillful poker play, Negreanu was awarded a cool three quarters of a million dollars. The $10,000 buy-in WSOP circuit championship event at Grand Casino Tunica saw Negreanu push Bryant King into runner-up status. Though falling short of the win, King still took home an enviable $416,690.
In his poker blog, Negreanu said that he was playing winning poker, with keen reads and consistently good “table image." For better or for worse, Negreanu didn't get much time to cherish his win, flying out the very next morning to play more poker in Atlantic City. We wouldn't expect anything else from a player on the rebound.
