Caesars Poker Room to Host NBC's Televised Heads-Up Poker Tournament
NBC is getting ready to air the second National Heads-Up Championship, a “must-see" poker tournament featuring the biggest names in professional poker. NBC's foray last year into the realm of poker programming demonstrated the extent to which poker had made its way into the mainstream. The fact that NBC is running the Heads-Up Championship for a second consecutive year proves that poker's presence at center stage is well deserved. Between March 4th and 6th, 63 of the world's top pro poker players, along with one very lucky online qualifier, will battle it out head-to-head for the Heads-Up Championship title in Caesars Palace's new poker room. In addition to the members of last year's “final table," namely Phil Hellmuth, the current defending champion, and Chris “Jesus" Ferguson, last year's runner up, other famed poker players have also confirmed their participation. They include Phil Ivey, Bluff Magazine and ESPN's Player of the year, pro poker siblings Howard Lederer and Annie Duke, Jennifer Harman, who is thought to be the best female poker player on the tournament circuit, as well as Barry Greenstein, and Daniel Negreanu.
