Players Say There's Something Fishy about World Champion Poker 2 with Howard Lederer

Now that poker fans have had a chance to give the new “World Champion Poker 2" video game a whirl, some users have had interesting reactions. While, in general, feedback has been positive, the game has a couple of glitches and quirks that have apparently made winning an even greater challenge.

The gravest “error" in the game concerns the claim that World Champion Poker 2 makes bad beats almost inevitable. According to one user review, posted on established video game website IGN.com, the game includes a distinct built-in house advantage that has players lose against the computer when holding a strong hand. The player claimed that over three weeks of playing World Champion Poker 2, he had lost to the computer 95% of the time when holding better hole cards.

Aside from the alleged rigging, several players have also complained that the software would often freeze during more advanced stages of tournament play. Despite these complaints, player impressions have been positive over all, citing an interesting, albeit at times unpolished, poker experience.
