Online Poker Network Prima and The Hendon Mob Say Goodbye after 3-Year Partnership

The Prima Network, a group of linked online poker sites, is pulling the plug on its partnership with pro poker posse “The Hendon Mob." The third and final sponsorship deal between the two groups has run its course, with Prima and The Hendon Mob going their separate ways. Prima's relationship with The Hendon Mob, which started in 2003, has helped both groups establish themselves in the poker world, both online and off.

During the three-year sponsorship, The Hendon Mob represented The Prima Network at over 40 poker tournaments and events around the globe. In addition, The Hendon Mob promoted Prima through its website, thehendonmob.com.

Today, it's commonplace for online poker rooms to sponsor well-known poker players in exchange for some prime exposure. The Prima Network, however, claims to have started that trend, with its Hendon Mob deal constituting the first such partnership in online poker.

Barny Boatman, a member of The Hendon Mob, said, "We have made many great friends across the Prima Network and look forward to seeing a continuation of the phenomenal growth we have been a part of. We have seen Prima become the world's foremost poker network, and as far as building the brand is concerned it is a case of 'job well done'. The Mob retains good relations with Prima and with many of the network's card rooms."
