Negreanu, Hellmuth, Brunson and More Expected to Make Bluff's Poker Power 20
Bluff Magazine, the most widely published poker magazine in the U.S., is getting ready to name “The Poker Power 20," its list of the people and organizations that have made the biggest mark on poker this year. The Poker Power 20 promises not to be just another “top earners" list; rather, it's about the concepts and personal drive that are largely to thank for poker's current success. Bluff compiled the nominees after polling a select group of poker powerhouses and industry experts. The people and organizations that make it on to the list will be ranked based on their role in helping take poker from strength to strength. Among the big names shortlisted for the Poker Power 20 are poker legends Doyle Brunson, Chip Reese, Chris Moneymaker, Daniel Negreanu, and Phil Hellmuth. In addition to the guys at the center of the action, the Poker Power 20's finalists also include a number of backstage bigwigs such as player agent Brian Balsburgh, who represents Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth and Erick Lindgren, WPT co-founders Steve Lipscomb and Lyle Berman as well as renowned tournament director Johnny Grooms. As the list not only cites individuals, but also influential companies and organizations, such as online poker rooms PartyPoker and PokerStars, will also stand to benefit from the Poker Power 20 spotlight. The Poker Power 20 will be featured in Bluff Magazine's January issue.
