Celebrity Charity Texas Hold'em Tournament Comes to Omaha
The celebs will be flocking to Omaha, Nebraska, on October 22 for the seventh annual Marg & Alan's Celebrity Weekend, part of which will be a charity Texas hold'em tournament, raising funds for organizations aiding cancer patients and survivors. Marg and Alan's Celebrity Weekend is named after Marg Helgenberger of “CSI," and Alan Rosenberg, her actor husband, who is also President of the Screen Actors Guild.
A Celebration of Courage Brunch for Cancer Survivors, one of the main events on the weekend's bill, will benefit the Cancer Center at Nebraska Medical Center. Proceeds from the weekend's second major draw, the Absolute Poker Texas Hold'em Celebrity Challenge will go towards the Susie Q Foundation. One hundred percent of the gross revenue generated by the weekend's events will go to the two organizations.
Although the celebrity poker fundraiser will feature famous faces such as Jack McGee (“Rescue Me"), Willie Garson (“Sex and The City"), Wallace Langham (“CSI" and “The Larry Sanders Show"), John Billingsley (“Star Trek: Enterprise"), John Aylward (“ER"), Richard Grieco (“21 Jump Street"), Chris Mulkey (“Any Day Now" and “Twin Peaks") and Devon Gummersall (“The L Word" and “My So Called Life"), the real stars will be the cancer survivors being honored throughout the event.
