Citizen Joe, a non-profit, non-partisan organization, focusing on bringing political awareness and activism to the average citizen, will bring poker to the foreground, when George Stephanopoulos, former White House Press Secretary, and current host of ABC's “This Week," leads a discussion on “Government and Gambling." The event will shed some light on the gambling issues being debated on Capitol Hill.

However, far from a cut-and-dry evening of political debate, the event includes a benefit poker tournament as well. Sponsored by Grolsch Premium Lager, the event will also feature complimentary bottles of beer donated by the company. So, kick back, grab a cold one and play some poker, all the while getting clued in on important gaming policy issues.

The event is scheduled to take place October 11 at Newspace in New York City.
