The World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) has come to a close, crowning a player going by the name of Pandella86 the WCOOP main event champion. A record 1,494 players entered in this year's $2,500 No-Limit Hold 'Em championship event, either by winning spots online, or by paying their way in. The record-breaking participation meant a record-breaking prize pool as well. The $3,735,000 prize pool surpassed expectations, becoming the highest prize pool in the event's four years in running. Out of the total players entered, 135 finished “in the money."

Many of professional poker's top pros entered into the WCOOP, although as a whole, the big wigs of poker busted before making it “in the money." Poker celebs included Evelyn Ng, Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer, Scott Fischman, and Barry Greenstein, to name a few.
