Celebrity online poker room Hollywood Poker is getting the stars together to play a little friendly poker, and contribute to a good cause at the same time. Hollywood Poker has partnered with the International Hospital for Children Foundation, a charity backed by actor Dennis Quaid, to provide aid for the children of hurricane-ravaged Louisiana.

For the remainder of the month, Hollywood Poker will match the prize pool from two weekly tournaments, and donate these proceeds to both the American Cross and the International Hospital for Children Foundation. The Michael Woods Celebrity Invitational takes, which takes place every Thursday night, and the Hollywood Poker Celebrity Classic, which takes place Sunday afternoons, are part of the charity initiative.

James Woods, the resident star at Hollywood Poker, commented, "I am touched by the collaborative relief efforts that thousands have undertaken for this tragedy, and feel privileged to be a part of Hollywood Poker's ongoing efforts to reach out to those affected."

Dennis Quaid, whose charity is at the foreground of Hollywood Poker's current fund-raising effort, added, "On behalf of the International Hospital for Children Foundation, our hearts go out to the children affected by the storm. We feel it is our duty to help in any way we can, lending support to those who desperately need it. We are very grateful to Hollywood Poker for the opportunity of making this possible."
