As a response to the devastation and destruction left by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and areas along the Gulf Coast, Royal Vegas Poker held an online poker tournament on Tuesday where 50 percent of proceeds were donated to the American Red Cross, benefiting victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The Royal Vegas Poker team, as well as its players, have shown great concern for the Hurricane Katrina victims, and as a result, they came up with the idea of holding an online poker tournament to benefit the hurricane victims.

With the money that has been gathered from the online poker tournament, along with hundreds of other charities that have gathered money, the initial recovery steps will begin, helping everyone affected by this tragedy.
