The World Poker Tour's (WPT) Legends of Poker event is currently under way at the Bicycle Casino,boasting a record turnout and prize pool. The 839 players entered in the Legends of Poker, and the resulting $4,195,000 up for grabs, has made this event the biggest in the World Poker Tour history. Legends of Poker kicked off on August 28th and runs through the 1st of September.

Of the almost $5 million prize pool, $1,125,000 will go to the event's winner. This year's turnout is up substantially from last year's Legends of Poker, which was 667 players. This year's prize pool is also more than a million dollars richer than in 2004.
