New Poker DVD Shows the Dark Side of Professional Poker
Willis Entertainment recently released a documentary DVD about the pitfalls of professional poker. The creators of the documentary, entitled "Poker Bustouts," claim that the DVD "exposes the truth" about pro poker to poker aficionados blindly seduced by the glitz and glamour of televised poker. While it may be interesting to see the side of poker that the Travel Channel and ESPN don't show you, if you're looking for a balanced account of the professional poker circuit, "Poker Bustouts" may not be your best bet. Although purporting to give viewers a glimpse at the whole spectrum of pro poker players, from millionaire to homeless, Poker Bustout's agenda is, very clearly, to focus on the latter variety, over the former. The DVD also gives viewers a look into the hierarchy in the poker tournament circuit, profiling everything from major tournament players to low-limit pros, and even the dealers.
