This year's World Series of Poker Main Event final table will go down in record books as the longest final table in WSOP history. After 13 Hours and 56 Minutes, 18 minutes longer than the record set at the 1983 WSOP, Australian pro poker player Joseph Hachem landed the championship. To add another record to the list, Hachem's $7.5 million win is also the largest prize ever awarded at a tournament in the history of poker.

Before going pro three and a half years ago, Hachem worked as a chiropractor. This was his first time playing in the WSOP, but judging from this year's success, it's unlikely to be his last.

Hachem beat accountant Steve Dannermann, after flopping a straight and re-raising all-in on the turn. Coming in second place, Dannermann took home $4,250,000. Not too shabby for someone who started playing poker only a year and a half ago.

Aaron Kanter, the last online qualifier left standing, came in fourth place. Kanter turned the $50 that he spent to play in a single-table online poker shoot-out at PartyPoker.com into $2 million in WSOP winnings.
