Todd 'Dan Druff' Witteles Cleans up at WSOP in First Two Tries

After earning respect playing poker online, Todd 'Dan Druff' Witteles decided to make his mark on the land-based tournament circuit as well. And boy, did he ever! Witteles entered his first two World Series of Poker (WSOP) tournaments and came away from both in top positions. On his first try, Witteles nabbed third place in Event #4's limit hold'em tournament and on attempt number two, Event #36, another limit hold'em game, won the tournament and with it, his first WSOP bracelet.

In the rough and tough world of tournament poker, where players pick poker nicknames like 'Grinder,' 'The Master' and 'Devilfish,' Witteles brings a little humor to the WSOP with his dermatologically unfortunate moniker. To top it off, Witteles, a former software engineer, even uses a bottle of Head and Shoulders shampoo as his mascot/card protector. He even claims to have used the shampoo to wash his hair. Not only is he a WSOP champion, but he's also resourceful.
