Online poker company Ongame recently gained membership to eCOGRA (eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance), the online gaming industry's leading regulatory body. Ongame develops and licenses a turnkey online poker software platform, which powers the PokerNetwork group of online poker rooms. PokerNetwork includes leading online poker site PokerRoom.com, which is also owned by Ongame.

With Ongame's online poker software achieving eCOGRA accreditation, its network clients are now eligible to request the eCOGRA seal of approval, provided that they meet the organizations regulatory criteria. Approximately 55 online gaming sites already bear eCOGRA's "Play it Safe" seal.

Ongame CEO Patrik Selin sang the praises of eCOGRA and added, “This is the culmination of tough, detailed on-site inspections and probity checks for Ongame, but we believe it is an important step forward for our poker rooms and the industry as a whole."
