Poker Apparel Company Ace Kicker Tees Thumbs its Nose at Wal-Mart
Newly launched poker apparel company Ace Kicker Tees recently announced that it would not have dealings with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. as a protest of Wal-Mart's censorship policies. “It really worries me when big business starts dictating ethics to artists and other creative voices," said the owner of Ace Kicker Tees, Carlton.
Carlton also said that one of the company's poker tees contained an obscenity, which defies Wal-Mart's "family oriented" policies. Instead of pulling the potentially controversial tee from its stock, however, Ace Kicker decided to withhold its entire line of poker apparel from Wal-Mart's shelves. “We might not ever sell at the highest volume, but we will always sell with the highest integrity," continued Carlton.
