Online poker operators UltimateBet, on behalf of its UltimatePoker site, and Absolute Poker are making the most of the expected gambling boom, afforded by the UK's recently passed Gambling Bill. Both online poker companies are investing millions of pounds to dot the UK's landscape with online poker ads galore.

With poker spreading like wildfire throughout the world, the UK is indeed not immune to this phenomenon. Televised poker tournaments have attracted hordes of British players seeking online poker gaming opportunities.

Although the recently passed UK Gambling Bill has made television advertising possible for poker and gambling companies, it is unlikely that this will be actualized before 2006. In the mean time, online poker sites will have to be content to slap their logos on taxis and newspapers, although UltimatePoker is reportedly already planning upcoming televised ads.
