GSN's 'Poker Royale: Celebrities vs. Poker Pros' Debuts Friday
What do professional poker players and actors have in common? First off, they both bluff for a living, and second, they'll both appear on GSN's debuting Texas Hold em show, "Poker Royale: Celebrities vs. Poker Pros." Poker Royale, which has poker pros face off against celebrities, will air for a total of seven episodes starting this Friday, May 6th, as part of GSN's signature "Casino Night." The first six episodes will air for one hour each, and award $10,000 and ten points to the episode champion. Runners up also receive points, ranging from eight points, going to the second place contender, to two points, going to the fifth place contender. The player coming in last place receives no points. The final championship episode will run for two hours, and the final table will be comprised of the top three chip leading actors and the top three chip leading poker pros. The Poker Royale final champion will take home the $50,000 grand prize. In the pro poker camp, we have Scott Fischman, Kathy Liebert, Cindy Violette, Roxci Rhodes, Paul Darden and Kenna James. Poker Royale's resident celebrities include NSYNC's Lance Bass, Baywatch babe Tracy Bingham, Morris Chestnut from The Best Man, Boyz N the Hood, GI Jane and Ladder 49, Mimi Rogers, Jennifer Tilly, and Patrick Warburton from Less Than Perfect and Seinfeld.
