Bellagio Launches Test Run for World Poker Tour All In Hold'em
Las Vegas' ritzy Bellagio casino has added a new World Poker Tour (WPT) branded poker game to its floor. This past weekend, the casino launched a 90-day field trial for World Poker Tour All-In Hold'em, after which, the results of which will be sent to Nevada gaming regulators. World Poker Tour All-In Hold'em is already played at two Indian casinos, located in San Diego and Biloxi, Miss., respectively.
The game follows the traditional rules of Texas Hold'em, in that players are dealt two cards and must then create the best possible hand, using the five community cards. Aside from this basic concept, World Poker Tour All-In Hold'em diverges completely from the original game. Most notably, this version is played against the dealer, opposed to against other players, as in traditional Texas Hold'em
World Poker Tour All-In Hold'em is distributed by Lakes Entertainment, which is also the majority shareholder of WPT Enterprises. Should Nevada gaming regulators approve the game, Lakes Entertainment will be able to distribute its new offering on a wide scale.
