Poker Returns to MGM Grand Casino
With the poker fad on the up-and-up, Las Vegas Casinos have taken the initiative to give players more of their favorite game, despite the fact that poker is among the less lucrative games on the floor. Many casinos previously shut down their poker rooms, citing that demand for poker was not sufficient to warrant sponsoring such a meager money maker. Well, demand has skyrocketed, and casinos have followed suit, reopening poker rooms and increasing the number of available tables. The latest Las Vegas casino to make such a move is the MGM Grand, who on Monday reopened its poker room, closed since 1998. The non-smoking room features 23 tables, making it one of Las Vegas' largest poker rooms. Other Vegas casinos boasting good sized poker rooms include the Bellagio with a whopping 55 tables, Mirage with 31, Orleans with 23, Excalibur Hotel & Casino with 20 and Binion’s Horseshoe Hotel & Casino, also with 20.
