The World Poker Tour's (WPT) third season is coming to the Travel Channel on March 2, 2005. The third season of the WPT will award a total of over $70 million in prize money. WPT events will shown every Wednesday at 9 pm ET/PT. WPT, which pits famous poker pros against amateurs with promise, will be viewed on millions of television screens across America as well as in over 50 additional countries thoroughout the globe.

Season three will see the addition of three new tournaments: The Mirage Poker Showdown and the Doyle Brunson North American Poker Championship at Bellagio.
Once again, the competition will feature running commentary from the WPT's hosts, Shana Hiatt, Vince van Patten, and Mike Sexton.
